WDP failed to update the blog with some pretty big news from 2018, so here's a quick summary.
Dixon Gallery and Gardens, a museum in Memphis, TN, invited Corkey Sinks to curate an exhibition in conjunction with two large print exhibitions: El Taller de Gráfica Popular: Vida y Arte and From Marne to the Rhine: Forain and World War I. Corkey's exhibition, titled Extension: Artists' Books, Prints, and Zines, presented a spectrum of contemporary approaches to print media with an emphasis on self-publishing. The exhibition ran from October 13, 2018 - January 13, 2019.
WDP participated in the second Chicago Art Book Fair in November (full table)! It was awesome, again. WDP is grateful to the organizers, publishers, and supporters. Already looking forward to the 2019 edition.
Zine Workshop for Teachers at Dixon Gallery and Gardens. In conjunction with the exhibition Extension, WDP co-founders Corkey Sinks and Jesse Butcher led a zine workshop for Memphis-area teachers.
